Sydney run 22 - 24 December

Well as you know, there was a ride up to Sydney this weekend just gone, which everyone except for DUNIT and I piked on :P So Saturday morning at the appointed hour (well actually I was a little bit late true to form...) I arrived at the Caltex Watson where James was waiting for me. Apparently the weather towards which we were heading was "black as". I hear you guys copped some rain here in Canberra on Saturday... was a good day to get outta town, I think the worst we had was the spray off the road!!!  roads were pretty wet so it was a fairly sedate run up to Goulburn via Bungendore/Tarago, and with the storms etc, it was decided that the Bungonia road was likely covered in too much crap so Hume to Marulan. Top half of the wet weather gear was lost here! Took the turn off for Tallong, through to MIttagong, not much traffic so a good run along this stretch. Back onto the HUme for the short stretch to the Bargo turn off, a stop in Picton for fuel and a smoke and the rest of the wet weather gear was gone - it was HOT!  way too much traffic over Razorback, dunno that I'd bother going that way again! Into Rouse Hill to the NSW Coffee Meet for a catch up with all that lot. IT absolutely bucketed down with rain while we were there but very kindly cleared up before we left.

Now for the main reason I organised this in the first place - the Joe Strummer Tribute gig! We got into Surry Hills about 7:30 - waaaay too early (innernet said from 6:30 or 7:30 on different sites but doors didn't open until 8) so off to another pub for some food... how cheap was the food! $9 saw me a chicken schnitzel with mash and gravy and a coke  Got back to the Gaelic and paid our door fees... bands were still setting up, so off to the next pub for a few games of (mostly atrocious) pool... saw a sign saying the band I actually wanted to see (the Hard-Ons) weren't gonna be on until midnight... damn! Anyway we spent most of the night at the "other" pub, returning at midnight to see the main show... and they went off (James will tell you they were shit, and Karl said they were "okay" but I think they rocked!). I was "very excited" to buy a CD and have it signed by Blackie and Ray  and Blackie called me "babe" :drunk: Anyway gig was awesome, I hung out right at the front of the stage and James and Karl disappeared... I saw a few punch ups and luckily wasn't in the middle of it (though the 'lesbians' copped it a bit) and it was 2am by the time we got back to Karl's place so bed it was as there was riding to be done on Sunday!

Sunday morning dawned bright and sunny - perfect riding weather, not hot, just pleasant, slight breeze etc. Meet time was 10:30 at Berowra so off we met where we joined up with Dan (VTR 250), Dave (GS500) and Darren (GSXR1000). We headed off up the Old Pacific Highway, had a few nice corners before bikes coming the other way started waving about coppers ahead. So we cruised some of the nicest corners known to mankind at 60km/h  only to find the coppers doing RBT right before Road Warriors    Stopped at Road Warriors for a bit of a chat before heading off for Broke, Dave left us at Peats Ridge as he had to get back home and we had a fairly good run up to Broke. The Ohlins sure got a good workout over that road! One left 65er saw me hanging my arse out of my seat  closer than I have ever ridden to another rider on a corner... hehe anyone woulda thought it was a racetrack or something Lunch and fuel at broke and then onto the Putty. Darren was out in front for this stretch and we all kept together as a group through the Putty, not much traffic at all which was great and no coppers which was even better! Stopped at some fuel/cafe spot just before Colo or maybe it was Colo?? Not sure, anyway, got chatting with another couple of riders for a bit. One of them was on a shiny new Gixxer thousand... he left before us. Headed off and hit the next windy section, James was leading now, before long we caught up to the gixxer dude behind a truck. James sat there for a minute before overtaking them both, not long after gixxer dude got around and a while later so did Karl and I. Karl wound it on a little and we had a pretty good pace up before all to quickly we had caught up to gixxer dude... fair enough, first straight, Karl goes to overtake him, bastard sees Karl coming and winds it on so they're neck and neck, corner comes up so Karl pulls back in behind him. Next straight same thing again, Darren managed to get past us all but Karl had to pull back in again. Grrrr. An overtaking lane came up and I do believe it was on a slight corner so both Karl and I went flying past him there... even Dan on his 250 overtook him!!! Hope he felt like a right twat being overtaken by a girl and a 250 anyway off to Mean Fiddler again for an after ride drink, Karl had his brother's birthday dinner there so James and I went off to Westmead to visit Micky who was back in hospital for further surgery. Was good to catch up and kinda surreal to be back at Westmead visiting him. After visiting Micky back to Karl's for the night.

Monday morning, slightly overcast. James had been checking out the weather, apparently it was gonna rain down the coast so it was decided to head back to Canberra the way we came. we skipped razorback, opting for the Hume to Mittagong, heaps of traffic on the M5 coming outta Sydney, James was in front and got great little gaps through the traffic... I found myself splitting them and thought that was a really bad idea so James was gone and I was just cruising in the traffic... after a while James must have slowed down cuz I caught up to him, cruised along for a while before I left something hit me in the thigh, looked down and there was something black there which then dropped down around my ankle and was gone... pulled over, had forgotten to zip up tank bag  it was my sunnies that had hit my leg. Luckily that was all that had fallen out so after checking they weren't lodged on the bike anywhere I continued on, found James pulled over a bit further up who had also left a zipper undone but luckily not lost anything... there was lots of double checking zippers after that... at Mittagong we went and checked out the Mt Gibaltar lookout which was kinda gay, not worth going to again. Bowral for fuel and a quick smoke before Highlands Way back to Marulan... James looked like he was going to go straight past Bungonia turn off so I waved and we did turn off and stopped. James waved me ahead for this section and I dunno what happened but I was goooooooorn  it was a very spirited run into Goulburn with very little traffic  stopped at goulburn for lunch before deciding to head back to Canberra via Gunning. Hit the backroad to Gunning and    very little traffic out here, only saw one ute towing caravan (which was the subject of the dodgy passing trick alluded to in another thread) and another car coming the opposite way some time later... and that was it. I can say that my dodgy 100mph taped mohawk is definitely good at speed  hit quite a few interesting bumps on that road  but Jimmy handles it much better now (did I mention how good the Ohlins is?  ) Stopped at Gunning for a smoke and me going "fuck yeah, how good was that"  felt great! A slightly more sedate run into Gunning then Sutton where James kept going straight and I turned off for Canberra to home.

All in all was a great weekend, thanks heaps to James and Karl for coming and seeing a band they had no interest in, huge thanks to Karl for putting us up again!!

Even Cabbies Love Kwakkas!

Well…. last night saw me in Civic doing the drunken dancing in Mooseheads til god knows when
Got in a taxi to come home (cute cabbie by the way! and friendly! it was an amazing night… LOL) directed him to my driveway - he saw my sister’s car parked on the grass and says “oh this must be your Lancer” to which I say (as he’s pulled into my driveway and the headlights have picked up the 6 in the car port) “nope… that’s mine” pointing at the bike.
“oooooh a kawasaki” says Mr Taximan.  “A Ninja! Very nice!”
He then proceeded to come down and duly admire the 6 and ask questions about it - turns out he’s got some shitbox CBR250RRRRRRRR or something and is planning on getting an R1… “go the 10″ says I… we’ll see…

Another Sydney Adventure

Friday 31 August – at the appointed hour James, Karl and Jase all assembled at the meeting place… and eventually I rolled up… needed fuel and a smoke… so by about 6pm we were underway.  A very boring trip straight up the freeway.  Jase pulled over somewhere on the Federal to sort out some sound problems, and caught up to us at Sutton Forrest where we had stopped to feed the Fuelstorm…

Jase left us there (in typical fashion we stood around smoking and chatting for a while) and we eventually suited up and kept on going.  I had directions to Brett’s place and managed to lead us there only taking one wrong turn (into a car park for some warehouse thing).

A few beers (well the boys had beers I had water) and pizza for tea and off to bed.

Saturday morning dawned bright and sunny… time for some riding! Brett led us off to Action Parramatta, where we collected Brendan on the ill-fated Hyosung, then off to Berowra to meet up with the rest of the crew.  Get to the servo and there are just bikes everywhere, mind you there was three or four different groups, wasn’t all ours!  I ran into a guy I know from KSRC which was cool, chatted about how good kwakas are for a while before they set off for a quick lap.

Eventually we were underway, off to Road Warriors for breakfast – egg and bacon rolls – yum!  We sat around in the sun (it was like summer!) watching the world (read bikes bikes bikes) go by… a couple of guys went past on their back wheels… just as they touched down, copper rolls around the corner… indrawn breaths all round!

The decision was made to go to Wollumbi instead of Terrigal for the (so-called – Karl we’ll have to test this out when you’re on the new bike) best fish n chips on the coast.  So off we went.

Had a good run up to Wollumbi, though what a bumpy road!  The good sections make up for that though.  Off the bike at Wollumbi to a message from Brett (our faithful “arse-end Arnold” – Brendan’s Hyosung had broken down and they were waiting for Bikebiz to come and collect it.  After a quick drink and smoke at Wollumbi, we all turned around and headed back to where they were to wait for the rescue van… After what seemed hours and hours finally the rescue van turned up…. And went straight past us!  Did they actually miss the 15 or so bikes parked along either side of the road?  No matter, eventually they returned and in two seconds flat the Hyo was in the van, and Brendan was being chauffer back to Sydney.

We continued onto Wiseman’s Ferry Road where I decided to be patient and NOT overtake the dude I was behind straight away… bad move…anyway… so a very frustrating run into Wiseman’s, fuelled up, stopped at the pub there before heading back into Sydney and over to the Mean Fiddler for the coffee meet with the rest of the Sydney Crew and to catch up with Micky.  Jase eventually joined us there, as did Keir on the new CBR 600 F4i that he had just picked up.  Ever seen a bigger smile on someone’s face?  Perhaps mine last year when I picked up the old 6 LOL.

After much gasbagging, Jase and Keir went their own ways, James had to head back to Canberra so Karl and I followed Brett back to his place (and we went past Hooters!  We so should have stopped there…).

The next morning it was kinda grey but no rain =)  Brett led us out some of the way, stopped for fuel then we were on our own, heading for the Nasho =)

We had been messaging and trying to call Jase without success. Stopped at the start of the Nasho, still no luck so a quick message was left to say we’d stop at the other end for coffee and wait for him there.

I believe Karl had a good run through the nasho… he must of cuz once we got into the twisties he was gooooooooorn!  LOL   I had a good run too, no one in front, no one behind…  We stopped at Bald Hill, hot as, and bikes bikes bikes as far as the eye could see!  Hot dogs and coke were the go – too hot for coffee.  Jase turned up and we then set off down the coast, heading for Mac Pass.

Good run up Mac pass and stopped in at the pie shop for coffee.  By this time the flu was really starting to catch up with me, I felt terrible. The short run from Robertson to Moss Vale where I had to refuel was torture, so I decided that I’d just jump on the freeway and scoot back into Canberra that way.  Jase, Karl and I were together for a little while but we all got separated, so all made our own way back into town.

All in all a great weekend, awesome roads and fantastic company!

The New 6!!

Well as most of you probably know by now, last Monday I traded the old girl in on an 03 ZX6R…
Didn’t really enjoy it much the first week, just riding to and from work, position just seemed so harsh, handlebars around my ankles and arse up higher than my head LOL… but then… came Saturday.
I asked two of my favourite riding buddies to come down to the coast with me… so a meet time was arranged for 11:30am.
I left work and headed towards QBN, by the time I got to QBN my wrists were aching and I was thinking “what the fuck am I doing??” but that all changed as soon as I got out of town
By the time I got to Bungendore I was grinning like mad… it was like the bike had magically morphed itself into my old bike, in that I was just as comfortable… except the fun factor was about x100!  hahaha….
I swear somebody came along and straightened out all the bends in the Kings Highway, even hitting the 85ers at… well, above the speed limit anyway… they were just so easy… and then came the Clyde… was a bit iffy on  the hairpins, but then I always am, but I had an absolutely brilliant run down the Clyde, any traffic I caught either at one of the good overtaking places or just before the overtaking lane…
Caught up to some moron on some bike on the other side of Nelligen… was doing about 70 so I overtook him, I went in the other lane and everything… about 30 seconds later “whoosh” he goes flying straight past me in my lane… grrr…. that’s fine… but then a couple of minutes later he’s doing like 70 again… dick… anyway he gunned it for a bit so I sat on his arse for a while, before pulling over at the roundabout to wait for the boys
Malua Bay for burgers and a bit of a photo opportunity…
Malua Bay
Malua Bay
Good run back up the hill… got left behind on those hairpins… I will get the hang of them one day…
Braidwood
Braidwood
Had so much fun that when no learners turned up for the learner ride we were supposed to be doing I said “let’s go to the bay” Yeah!  haha except just outta Braidwood it started raining… grrrrrr… but new bike is fine in the wet too, though I was going heaps slow!
So on the weekend, the new bike got it’s first run out of town, first corners, first ride in the rain and first ride over gravel (roadworks where they’ve ripped up the road in two places…).  Fun fun fun!!!
I think I need to get up to Sydney and do the nasho again real soon!

Sydney and Micky's Accident

I’m a bit late posting the last weekend’s adventures….
Well last weekend I went up to Sydney to check out a couple of the KSRC boys’ style as they whizzed around Eastern Creek.  Had a good ride up, actually had company for the ride up for a change… but ran out of daylight by the time we hit Goulburn.
Sunday was spent out at the creek… then my phone rang, James to tell me that Micky had been in an accident with a truck… I just couldn’t take it in at first wasn’t even sure if he was alive or what.  I finally got the courage to ask, Micky was in Westmead Hospital.  I wasn’t too sure whether I’d be welcome there turning up on a bike or what, but the Pit Manager had her laptop with her so a quick check on Netrider showed that the family was very pleased to see all the support from the biking community so after the boys last race got canned I set off for Westmead.  Broke my heart to see Micky there in the hospital bed… but I just can’t believe how good spirits he was in (maybe the morphine was helping! LOL)  He’s such a trooper.  I know that if anyone can get through this and out the other end living pretty much the same life as before, he can.  Got a text message from him today which was good.  Going back to see him next Friday.
After I saw Micky I couldn’t bring myself to get on the bike straight away… I ended up sitting on a bench next to my bike and just crying for about half an hour… I was supposed to go back to Canberra but decided it would be better to stay another night, so went back to stay with the KSRC crew.
Nikos had decided to break his trip back to Melbourne up, do it over two days, so we decided to make it a good ride home.  Farewelled the others then did the old road, the nasho, macquarie pass then backroads to Goulburn… was getting pretty dark by then, so freeway from Goulburn back to Canberra.
So that was the weekend…
Off to Young with the girls for an Xmas in July this weekend…

I’m soft… 17 July 2007

Okay, Okay I’ll admit it, I’m soft.
The forecast for tomorrow is 5 degrees and snow.  I’m leaving the bike at home and Trina is driving me to work.  Usually this only happens when I’m going on the piss after work…
Then on Thursday the 6 is going in to get the kick arse heated hand grips on.  -6 this morning and my fingers were coooooooold!!!
So yep, I may be soft… but I don’t care, I’m a girl, I’m supposed to be, so there.  At least I’ll have warm hands!

15 July 2007

Another weekend has come and gone…
Saturday was the Got’M learner ride which I’d said I’d help out with… it was freezing, but duly set off (with a complaining 6 LOL she didn’t wanna go)… James came along to take some photos - thanks James!  We had about 10 of us at one stage… then three nicked off to go to the coast instead  so jealous LOL then another two went home cuz they were too cold… fair enough it was like 0 degrees or something!
Bikes at the museum
Bikes at the museum

Off we went up Red Hill, Mt Ainslie and Black Mountain, upright throuhg all the corners! stopping at Botanical Gardens for coffee, then finally the sun came out!
Bikes on Lady Denman Drive
Bikes on Lady Denman Drive

Alli and I went out to Joes to get my money back on the fairing bracket, then off to CMC to see about getting a new one :) a new one is half the price that bloody Joe’s charged me for the one off the 7 … grrr… anyway, about three weeks and the 6 will be gaffa tape free once more… yay!  We of course drooled over all the bikes on display… my 636 is still there… one day it will come home with me…
Saturday night was Anne’s “extension warming” party which was a lot of fun, caught up with some people I haven’t seen in a while (Dene & Richard if you are reading this Mike!  They are well.)
Sunday the HCC rode again… the 6 was much happier to run, even though conditions were about the same as Saturday!  Was just warming up the bike when Gos appeared at my driveway… he’d borrowed Mick’s GPZ and she didn’t appreciate the cold weather and was refusing to start.  Gos was gonna keep trying so I rode up to his place, and Darren had turned up by then too with his son in tow… still no luck on the GPZ, so Gos jumped in the car and led us over to Mick’s place, where his new zeddy was accompanied by some gixxer and his mate Dan :)
We headed off for Chisholm and met up with MickC on his old dunger, his mate on the 14, a new KSRCian on a black zeddy and James on the Fuelstorm (ha… tables are turned now - he’s always hanging shit on me for riding kwaka…)  Darren left us here cuz his son was freezing (poor little bugger) so off we went to Honeysuckle… once we got a bit past Tharwa the fog was gone and the sun was out, was gorgeous in the sun at Honeysuckle!  Turned around and headed back to the cold and fog to Tharwa where Gos was waiting for us… he’d got the old girl running.  We all decided coffee was in order so off to the tracking station where the sun promptly came out once we got there - yay!  We sat around in the sun drinking coffee and talking shit, as you do :)  Then off to the cotter… the dude on the black zeddy had a bit of a moment  but he came through it okay, so all was good :) then up over Mt MacDonald, which I am still absolutely terrible on after my “incident” on Anzac Day… but slowly getting better.  Over Uriarra Crossing, then at Coppins Crossing road the southsiders kept going and the rest of us turned off for home…  Mick C put some piccies up on KSRC and Gos wrote a great report!  I had to go into work so waved goodbye to the boys and blah blah work
Had arranged to go to Mum’s for dinner, hadn’t been over there in ages, and in true form Trina and I managed to disgust her with just how much food we can eat… Mum had made enough to feed four… Jen didn’t turn up and Mum wasn’t feeling too good so she didn’t have any… and Trina and I proceeded to eat the lot! LOL
Mum has foxtel so after Big Brother I was allowed to watch the GP… had both Mum and Trina watching it, neither of them have any real interest in bikes at all and I managed to fall asleep and only just catch the last couple of laps
Anyway, that was my weekend…. was good, though as usual busy!

Another Sydney Trip

once again, another bloody fantastic weekend!!!
Had so much fun last weekend up in Sydney, that when the Tintaldra ride I was supposed to be going on (forecast for 6 degrees and possible snow - welcome to Canberra I say!) got cancelled, I thought stuff it, I’m off to Sydney again!
Slabbed it up on Friday evening again and was just as cold as last time.  Stayed with my aunty in Narellan which was nice to catch up with her, haven’t seen them since New Years when they were down here.
Noticed that my chain was heaps loose (it’s been on it’s way out for a while) so went to adjust it, only adjusted a bit, couldn’t stretch it out any further!  Crap.
Was due to meet Micky at McGraths Hill at 8:30 so turned up and we had breakky… was telling him about my chain when the dude at the next table pipes up and says that I should replace it before I do any more riding, and says there is a motorbike shop just around the corner, he’s mate is there and he’ll look after me.  Sweet.  We were still waiting for Karl to come along, so we went to the bike shop and they fitted the new chain while I waited (thanks RRR Motorcycles!  Champions!).  Karl turned up, and Micky went home as he wasn’t feeling too good.
We set off up Putty Road with Karl leading the way.  Got rained on for about 15 seconds, then we were at the Halfway Roadhouse where we ran into some other netriders that Karl knew, had a bit of a chat then we continued on our way with me leading this time… for the good section!  Was just as good going up as coming back, had an absolute ball.  Not much traffic and had a very nice and smooth run through.  Stopped in at Broke for fuel and then onto Wollumbi Pub for lunch.

Halfway Roadhouse
Halfway Roadhouse
I had done the road from Wollumbi to Broke once before, earlier this year, but then it was foggy as and about 7am.  This time it was clear and sunny… the lack of advisory signs threw me a little at first!  Hadn’t noticed that last time, probably because I was following LOL.
Burgers at Wollumbi Pub were fantastic, and after our feed it was on to Road Warriors.  That was a nice run down there, and yep, still love the old road, well the small section of it that we did  made a bit of a dint in my chicken strips there.
At Road Warriors we collected Dale who had ridden up from Canberra that morning and we were heading into the Netrider coffee meet at Rouse Hill.  We decided that Wisemans Ferry would be the way to go, so off we went with me in the lead again.  I was being sensible and keeping the speed fairly sedate (watching for coppers hehe) when there was a flash of something resembling a Gixxer thou flying past me… wooohooo the chase is on  didn’t last long, I guess Dale was being sensible too!  Stopped again for fuel then onto Wisemans Ferry Road, which was very nice, though very annoying as the sun was setting and kept getting in my eyes… was blinded a few times, scary!
On the Wisemans Ferry Road I did something I haven’t done in a long time… touchdown with the boot!  Last time I did that I trained myself to ride with my toes on the pegs… yet I still have chicken strips…. arrrgh!  Think they are just gonna be there forever LOL.
Wisemans Ferry
Wiseman's Ferry

Across the ferry and a short rest on the other side before continuing on back towards Windsor… had a bit of a moment when going up a very steep 15km/h lefty I tried clicking down from second to first and got neutral… with Dale rapidly approaching from behind!  Didn’t want to go into gear at first, but finally did and off we went again.
Coffee meet was good, got to meet a heap of new people.  Wish we had cool places like that in Canberra!  Dale wanted to go check out the big boat that was at Woolloomooloo (kittyhawk??) so we ended up with a group of five heading into the city, avoiding tolls as someone (me) doesn’t have e-tag!  Was a good ride in but very heavy traffic rolling through the city and the cross.  Was great to be back in Sydney though - I haven’t been up to the cross since I left!  Brought back memories LOL.
Got to Woolloomooloo and parked… wandered over to the ship but there were no tours of the ship this time (and it was pretty late I guess!).  So we duly admired the general hugeness of the ship, laughed at some drunk american and went out onto that pier with the fancy-arse apartments to get a different view of the ship and just generally hang around chatting.
From there I headed off to Caringbah on my own to stay with my friend Lesley… managed to take a few wrong turns in the city… took forever to get out… so much traffic!  Gotta take some splitting lessons from Micky I think LOL.  Eventually got back to Caringbah about 11pm… about 10 minutes before my friend arrived so that worked well!
Another early start on Sunday, was meeting the KSRC boys for their nasho run at 7:30… got there and there was a dude on an R1… asked if he was KSRC and yay he was!  Apparently the time had been changed to 8am so we chatted for a while as the bikes kept rolling in… so much for KSRC, should be the ZX9R riders club LOL I swear about half the bikes were 9’s!  Was a great sight to see anyway.
We cruised through the park and I got left behind a little bit but that was cool, it’s so pretty through there!  Stopped at Bald Hill again for the coffee… and there was no wind - hurrah!  Stood around for ages just chatting… the Sydney Crew are a very friendly bunch!  Felt very welcome.
Departed from there, down the coast road again… just south of Wollongong the rain started so I pulled over and pulled on the wets.  The rain stopped at Albion Park so had a dry run up macquarie pass but it absolutely bucketed down when I got to the top.  Stopped at the pie shop and there were heaps of bikes there… they were all meeting for a charity event down at Wollongong!  If the weather had of been fine I would have joined them but I was cold and wet and looking forward to getting home.  I got my coffee and two girls turned up dripping wet… I joined them for coffee and it was really nice sitting about defrosting and just chatting.
On the way to Wollongong
On the way to Wollongong
I headed off for Moss Vale and was thinking with the rain that I should probably just get on the freeway and slab it home from there… hell no!  Highlands Way was decided in the end and I’m glad I did.  I ended up with a left boot full of water (really do need to get new boots) but that was okay.  Very little traffic and it stopped raining at about Tallong.
I stopped in at Marulan for fuel and more coffee (and to beg some plastic bags - I had dry socks in my bag YAY!) and ran into an old workmate, so that was good to catch up with him.  And the sun came out here as well!
Headed off for Bungonia and continued on that way, towards Bungendore it started raining again… goody.  Just before Bungendore I caught up with a 4WD, there was a nice patch of mud on the road and I got showered in mud… couldn’t see a thing out of my visor!  So I stopped in at the servo at Bungendore to clean my visor and have a toilet stop… glad I did… was walking back to the bike and noticed a huge pool of oil underneath it… SHIT!!!
Was really low on oil, so I bought some more and topped it up and just limped home (and a big thank you to the guy who came over to make sure I was okay).  Think I confused the 4WD that was up my arse coming up Smiths Gap and Macs Reef Road… a motorcyclist doing the speed limit or below!!! LOL I was taking it *very* easy.
Got home, oil was everywhere, all over the rear tyre, I got the side fairing off and couldn’t tell where it was coming from.  I got on MSN and was talking to James and he came over and has mostly sorted it out for me now… just gotta replace a couple of washers and she should be good again.  Hurray!  Was a bit of a worry at the time though!
So that was my second fabulous weekend in Sydney.
